“BEFORE Hardin met Tessa he was a raging storm. DURING those first moments they met, he realized he needed to keep her for himself—his life depended on it. AFTER they got together, the world would never be the same.”
Purchasing this book completed my collection of the After series! As someone who has loved this story since the beginning it was really exciting to get a published version of Hardin’s perspective on different situations in throughout the books.
About the Book:
This is the fifth book in the After series written by Anna Todd. This book is split into different parts, in the first part we get to look more into Hardin’s previous relationships with different girls such as Natalie, Molly, and Steph. The second we get to see many of Hardin and Tessa’s first encounters, but from Hardin’s perspective. The third part we get to see ending for many of characters from the story, such as Smith, Christian, Zed, and Landon. The final chapters are all about Hessa’s ending and what their future looks like.
Overall Opinion:
I would rate this book 5/5!
Just like its proceeding stories this story holds nothing back and reveals a lot of background on why things happened the way they did in the first few books. I love getting more information for scenes that you thought as a read you originally understood.
The best part of this book has to be the look into Hardin and Tessa’s future that we are given. We get an AMAZING conclusion to characters that went through hell and back to the make their relationship work.
[SPOILERS AHEAD]
The fact that Tessa does indeed get to have not only one but TWO kids is by far the best fact that is revealed! Her struggles with infertility is such a sad addition to her and Hardin’s story, but the fact that they were able to still have kids not only gave the, their happy ever after, but readers everywhere got to see them live the lives they fought for.
ALSO HARDIN AS A DAD IS SO FREAKING ADORABLE!!
I recommended reading Before if you want to know what becomes of not only Hessa, but all of the beloved characters in the After series.
