Overall Opinion:

I would rate this book a 4/5

I loved the new take on fairy tales and classic stories that the Gill took and wrote into a modern form of poetry.

Every poem in this collection is in one way or another about empowering women and becoming your own hero which as a women I think is a fantastic message to send through poetry.

With over 147 poems in the collection there is sure to be one that resonates with you. For me I found a few and that's where my less enthusiastic rating comes from. Although I enjoyed this read I did feel completely connected and captivated by it, like I have experienced with other poetry novels.
