Before you can dive into the next bestseller you pulled from your never ending stack of "To Read Next" books, you need a cozy place to get comfortable.
1. Find a Spot in Your House/Apartment
When looking for the perfect spot in your apartment be sure to find one that you can totally over run. Once you make a reading nook any advent reader won't come out fo hours on end. When finding my perfect spot I found the quietest area in my house with blank walls (for all the DIY) and not a lot of furniture (so I could make it my own).
2. Gather Comfy Blankets and Pillows
The next step is to set the mood of the cozy atmosphere. Put down all of the blankets one on top of the other. Before the last layer add one pillow against the wall, then the final blanket layer. Lastly add one more blanket and as many pillows as you can find. I personally set mine up to also promote that is was my reading nook, so I advise adding pillows with fun sayings about reading.
I found all of my favorites off of Society6 definitely check them out!
3. Stack of Books
Let's be honest this is your new favorite place and you re going to be here for the next few hours. The struggle to get up after you finish a book is going to be REAL. So be sure to bring a fat stack of books with you before you originally sit down so that you can continue to roll through some chapters.
4. Snack and Water
If you re anything like me you won't be coming out of that nook for hours. Like I. mentioned earlier the struggle will be oh so real when you need to get up. So alongside your stack of books you need a snack and water to keep you going in the nook.
5. A Clock of Some Sort
Believe me I love getting lost inside a fictional world as much as the next person, but reality doesn't always although for this to happen as much as I would like. I would recommend taking a clock of some sort into your nook. You don't want your phone cause that can often times distract you from a great book. But having one sort of way to tell time just incase you do have to redirect yourself to only an hour in the nook, will literally save your life.
6. Sit Back, Relax and Enjoy!
You are now officially ready to dive in among the mass of pillows and blankets, pull out the book you have been dying to read, and fully lose yourself inside that world for at least a good hour.
